A 20-year-old woman has been charged with driving while drunk and striking two people at a Brooklyn intersection on Sunday, leaving one of the victims in a medically induced coma, police said.

Crystal DeJesus was taken into custody around midnight on Sunday after allegedly plowing her black BMW into a cyclist and a pedestrian at the intersection of Halsey Street and Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, according to the NYPD.

The pedestrian, a 19-year-old woman, was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in critical condition. According to the criminal court complaint, she was still hospitalized on Tuesday with a fractured skull and bleeding that required doctors to place her in a medically induced coma.

The 39-year-old cyclist, identified in court documents as Brandon Wheeler, had suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.

According to police, DeJesus smelled like alcohol and had watery eyes when she was arrested. Her blood alcohol level was recorded at .123%, police said – well above the legal limit of .08%. DeJesus’ lawyer, an attorney with the Brooklyn Defenders, was not immediately reachable for comment.

She was charged with assault, vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, according to the criminal complaint.

DeJesus, of West Harlem, pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in Brooklyn criminal court Tuesday. Her license was suspended and she was granted supervised release, though prosecutors asked for $100,000 cash bail, according to the Brooklyn district attorney’s office.
