Woman Fatally Stabbed At Brooklyn Subway Station

Police have arrested a suspect, who was found after they reportedly followed a trail of blood from the station.

A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death at a Brooklyn subway station on Monday night after an apparent argument with another train passenger. The stabbing took place at the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road 3 station in Brownsville, and police arrested a suspect after reportedly following a trail of blood from the station.
Officers responded to a 911 call at about 9:17 p.m., police say, and found a woman with stab wounds to the face, neck, and arm in the station's mezzanine area. EMS took the woman to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Latanya Watson. Her fiancé told NBC New York that she had a 12-year-old child and that she worked at the Red Hook Fairway.

PIX 11 reports that police "followed a trail of blood from the subway station to the suspect's apartment door, where family directed them to a nearby hospital, where the woman was being treated for a cut on her arm."
Police sources tell ABC 7 Watson and the suspect got into an argument on the train, and that Watson allegedly "sprayed her with pepper spray," prompting the suspect to retaliate by repeatedly stabbing her.
An NYPD spokesperson that a suspect is in custody and charges are pending.
