Two people have been rescued from the Hudson River after a small plane went down this afternoon.

Two people have been rescued from the Hudson River after a small plane went down this afternoon. Yonkers police confirmed that the plane went down near the JFK Marina sometime around 5:45 p.m. ABC adds that the plane has been fully submerged, and two passengers have been taken to a local hospital for treatment.

NBC also confirmed that two people have been rescued. It's unclear if there were more passengers on the plane as of yet. The Daily News adds that divers and marine rescuers from the FDNY and NYPD also were called to the site roughly four miles north of the George Washington Bridge.
