A man and a woman were killed Monday morning in what police were investigating as a potential murder-suicide in Brooklyn, authorities said.

According to NYPD officials, Tanezia Blockwood, 27, and Teddy Knight, 35, were both found dead around 10:15 a.m. with gunshot wounds to their heads. They were in the kitchen area of an apartment on Avenue I and Ocean Avenue in Midwood, police said.

Police said the incident appeared to be a domestic dispute and later ruled Blockwood’s death a homicide – meaning they thought Knight did the shooting.

Police could not immediately say whether officers had been called to the address for previous incidents of domestic violence.

Blockwood and Knight are the first victims of gun violence in the 70th Precinct so far this year, which includes Midwood, Fiske Terrace, Ditmas Park, and Prospect Park South, according to NYPD data.
