NYPD: Woman With A Baby Punched E Train Rider For Bumping Her

The NYPD has released security camera footage showing a woman with a baby who they say punched another subway rider on an E train. The assault allegedly happened after the victim and the assailant bumped into each other.
The incident took place inside the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station, around 9 a.m. on April 15th. According to the NYPD, a 53-year-old woman as trying to board a southbound E train, "when she accidentally came in contact with an unknown female who was exiting the train at the station. The individual then re-entered the train car and punched the victim in the face, causing pain and bruising to her left eye."
It does not appear the victim or suspect exchanged words, according to a police spokesperson.
The suspect then left the train and fled the station on foot, while the victim stayed on the train and called 911 later. EMS took her to New York Downtown Hospital, where she was treated and released for her injuries.
Police describe the suspect as a woman around 30 years old, last seen wearing a white baseball cap, pink shirt and dark pants. She was also last seen pushing a stroller and carrying an infant. Authorities shared footage of the suspect after the confrontation:
