Police did not say what led to a break in the case.

A Bronx mother has been arrested for allegedly killing her two infant sons after a five-year investigation into the murders, police said.
Stephanie Castillo, 36, is charged with six counts of murder and six counts of manslaughter after police arrested her in the Bronx Friday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The arrest caps off an investigation that started in November 2020 after two infants were found lying unresponsive outside of a Bronx apartment complex.
The twins, identified as Baby Zeke and Baby Zane by the police, were transported to a nearby hospital but were pronounced dead shortly after. The Office of the Medical Examiner ruled they died from blunt force trauma.
Now, five years later, Castillo is awaiting a trial date for the killing of the twins.
NYPD officials didn’t say how they linked Castillo to the death in 2020. According to news reports at the time the babies were discovered by the super of the Bronx building.
Attorney information for Castillo was not immediately available.
