Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Ambulance On Upper East Side

A motorcyclist traveling in the Upper East Side died after hitting an ambulance earlier this morning. The ambulance was apparently responding to an emergency.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Lexington Avenue at 9:40 a.m. when he collided with an ambulance for New York Presbyterian Hospital, which was traveling eastbound on East 96th Street. The 44-year-old man was taken to Metropolitan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:20 a.m.
