Man Says Hello, Then Allegedly Stabs Woman In Whole Foods Parking Lot

According to the NYPD, the unnamed victim was approached by a man who said "hello" and then stabbed her in the hand around 9:30 p.m.

A woman was stabbed in the Gowanus Whole Foods parking lot on Monday night while putting groceries into her car. According to the NYPD, the unnamed victim was approached by a man who said "hello" and then stabbed her in the hand around 9:30 p.m.
The suspect, identified by police as 21-year-old Philadelphia resident Rodney Robinson, was detained by a security guard in the parking lot, and held until police arrived at the scene and arrested him. He's charged with assault and weapons possession.
The woman fled the scene in her vehicle and was treated at Methodist Hospital for the stab wound, an NYPD spokesperson said.
"As soon as I heard the scream, she reversed and pulled out — fast,” a witness tells the NY Post. “I thought like no regard — she’s just trying to get the freak out of there.”
A dramatic photo obtained by the Daily News shows a man, believed to be a Whole Foods security guard, pointing a gun at the suspect, who is lying face down on the parking lot pavement.
One witness tells the News that before the stabbing, Robinson "was checking out women as they came out of the Whole Foods. One of them looked at him like, ‘Not today.'"
