A Bronx man was reportedly removed from a plane at JFK on Friday, due to suspicion from authorities that he was planning on joining the Taliban.

A Bronx man was reportedly removed from a plane at JFK on Friday, due to suspicion from authorities that he was planning on joining the Taliban.
According to the Daily News, the unidentified man was pulled off a Qatar Airways flight just before takeoff by federal investigators, who’d flagged him as a “possible terrorist sympathizer.”
Sources also told NBC that the man was arrested on terrorism charges.
A spokesperson for the Port Authority told Gothamist that the FBI was handling the case. Federal officials said they could not share further information at this time.
The man is expected to appear in a Manhattan federal court later this afternoon.
