Manhattan's second Barcade is likely coming to St. Mark's Place.

Barcade in Jersey City.

The Barcade poised to open in Chelsea any day now is not the only Barcade coming to Manhattan. Owner Paul Kermizian has his eye on another prime spot: 6 St. Mark's Space, the former home of Mondo Kim's, a multi-level loved/hated music and obscure video rental outlet that closed in 2008.

The forthcoming East Village Barcade would bring the dive's signature retro arcade games and craft beer to the building's ground floor. "When we came across this space we thought it would be perfect for our concept to be on St. Mark's," Kermizian says. "And in the old Kim's space—I used to rent laser discs there in the late '90s! We hope the community board and the neighborhood agrees we're a good fit." Community Board 3 will consider the liquor license application in June.

The West 24th Street Barcade is expected to open in the next couple of weeks. Until then, you've got the original Barcade in Williamsburg, as well as Jersey City and Philadelphia.
