Watch Coldplay's Full Game of Thrones: The Musical Sketch

"Welcome to the crazy wacky world of Game Of Thrones."

After much teasing, Coldplay unleashed their full Game Of Thrones: The Musical video for Red Nose Day yesterday, with narration by Liam Neeson. If you've ever wanted to see Chris Martin sing a reggae ballad about the Targaryens, this is the video for you. "Welcome to the crazy wacky world of Game Of Thrones," indeed.

"This is the best idea we've ever had," Martin says at the top of the charity sketch. "It's just been the most amazing creative outpouring." Will Champion, the band's drummer who previously made a cameo in the Red Wedding episode, is particularly keen, dressing up in full GOT regalia for the workshop with cast members. Only Mark Addy (Robert Baratheon) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton, not one of the most popular characters on the show currently) show up initially to hear Martin sing "Rastafarian Targaryen" and his Tyrion song, "A Man For All Seasons."

But Kit Harrington (Jon Snow—or is it Kit Snow?) saves the day, and eventually, most of the cast appears for rehearsals. Harrington sings "Wildlings" to the tune of "Wild Thing" to his former love (Ygritte, aka Rose Leslie); John Bradley-West (Samwell Tarly) and ‎Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) get into a thing about the last nuggets; Rheon and Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy/Reek) share a loving embrace and sing a song about being tortured; and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) sings the "first romantic ballad about incest in Coldplay's career."

Unfortunately, George R.R. Martin shoots down the whole musical and Martin turns his attention toward Taken On Ice! Which is really too bad, because as we said earlier this week, we would watch the hell out of a GOT musical written by Coldplay. If anyone can turn incest, murder, and dragons into fodder for feel-good songs, it's certainly them.
