Jon Hamm makes his pitch for Hamm Solo, Emma Stone pops in for an 'Aloha' joke, John Boyega laughs about the idea of a black stormtrooper, and Maggie Smith confronts the dark side.

In recent weeks, Saturday Night Live has taken advantage of their cold opens to have some inspired mayhem with Larry David as Bernie Sanders (and to pay tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks). But this week's major highlight had more to do with the New Republic than the presidential debates: the cast got to indulge in a cameo-heavy impressions-off with the screen tests for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Watch below as Danny Devito (Bobby Moynihan) tries out some barrel rolls for the role of BB-8, Jon Hamm makes his pitch for Hamm Solo, Emma Stone tries to make an Aloha joke, John Boyega laughs about the idea of a black stormtrooper, David Beckham (Taran Killam) 'bends' BB-8, and Maggie Smith (Kate McKinnon) confronts the dark side.
This was a sequel to the classic Kevin Spacey-hosted original installment of Star Wars screen tests from over a decade ago. Below, watch Spacey as Christopher Walken audition to be Han Solo.
