Concert promoter LiveNation has canceled or postponed six shows at Irving Plaza and the Gramercy Theatre following last week's fatal shooting at a T.I. concert.

Tonight's Joey Bada$$ show at the venue has been canceled, prompting the rapper to tweet last night that the NYPD had canceled the event. The NYPD refuted those claims and the tweet has since been deleted. Bada$$ met up with Pharrell instead.

Other canceled shows include Mac Miller's show at Irving Plaza on Friday and Vince Staples' show on Saturday. Guns N' Roses cover band Appetite for Destruction will not be playing at Gramercy Theatre on Friday night; and Black Pistol Fire's Saturday night show at Gramercy has been axed, along with YG's show on Monday.

The cancellations are in response to the May 25th shooting, which left 30-year-old Ronald McPhatter dead. “In light of last week's tragic events, we are acting with an over-abundance of caution and coordinating a going forward strategy with the New York Police Department that may also include a curfew,” Jim Yeager, a spokesman for Irving Plaza, told the Daily News. “Because these discussions with NYPD are ongoing, we will be postponing a few of our upcoming shows.”

McPhatter was a bodyguard for rapper Troy Ave, real name Roland Collins, 33; he has been arrested on attempted murder charges.
